6-28-09: Second Assembly of the
Southeastern Conference of
Catholic AIDS Ministers
Why a Catholic AIDS Assembly?
The Body of Christ has AIDS: If one of us is infected, all of us are affected. The reality of the reemergence of AIDS in the United
States has caused us to look anew through the lens of compassion as the Gospel calls us. SECCAM’s theme, God Entrusts Us to
One Another, is a timely clarion call which inspires us to gather in prayer and in dialogue, to learn, to effectively organize and
collaborate and ultimately to bring change and promote healing to all affected by AIDS.
The SECCAM Assembly is designed for Catholic AIDS ministers, lay ecclesial ministers, clergy, religious, teachers and anyone
interested in furthering the Church’s compassionate response to AIDS in the United States.
The conference is August 5, 6 and 7, 2009 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden. For more information please call
404-885-7487 or you can go to their website at www.seccam.org. |
